Welcome to my blog!

Hey there, it's great to meet you! This blog, which you're about to dive into, has become my safe space where I can let my imagination run wild with words, stepping away from the rigid structures of academic writing to simply enjoy the art of blogging.
There are no strict rules here. I write about anything and everything that strikes a chord with me; a favorite song, a gripping novel, a memorable travel experience, moments of volunteering that left me feeling grateful, or anything else that inspires me. Feel free to interact with me through the comments or the message section.

What kind of an earthling am I?
Although, I call myself "calm, prudent, and emotional", I am aware that every person is much more complex than what three adjectives can define.
I am a big fan of any expressive act and tool, mainly art. I am passionate about reading novels, visiting exhibitions, knitting and crocheting, goblin tapestry, photography, and ceramics. I enjoy socializing with internationals and exchanging our life stories and ideas. I write regularly as I can keep a certain distance from the reader and connect with them at the same time.

Where am I coming from? Where am I going to?
I spent my childhood and teenage years in İskenderun, Turkey with a vivacious, nature lover, adventurer family. In 2017, I moved to Istanbul to pursue my studies at BoÄŸaziçi University, in the sociology department. During these 4 years, I familiarized myself with the fundamental debate in anthropology and sociology. I traveled to every corner of Istanbul and traced back the city's history. It was at BoÄŸaziçi that I laid the foundations of the values that I rely on today.

In 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, just 10 days before the borders closed, I flew to Paris. I pursued one year of my studies at SciencesPo Paris as an exchange student. During these 11 months, I have met my dearest friends who completely changed the course of my life. This period of my life is also valuable as I had a chance to enjoy art to the fullest in Paris as well as realized the capacity of artistic creation in me for the first time.

Now I'm doing a two-year master's degree in sociology at EHESS (Higher School of Social Sciences) in Paris. I am specializing in the sociology of art and profiting from the museums and libraries in Paris to the fullest.
